Working Groups CFP

Working Groups lie at the heart of the Federation’s (IFTR/FIRT) scholarly exchanges. The purpose of these on-going groups is to provide sustained scholarly dialogue and continuity of exchange over time. Meeting at the yearly conferences, but sometimes in between as well, the working groups generally develop a program of research on the topic of their choice. Memberships are fluid, but a core of long-term members provide the critical continuity and ongoing developmental leadership.

Groups may be proposed by any Member(s) of FIRT by submitting a proposal to the Executive Committee which clarifies the topic under consideration and maps out a starting procedure and goals (guidelines on how to start a working group can be obtained through the working group contact link – below). The groups exist as long as they are useful, and then may stop meeting when goals are met or members are tired of their programs.
